The subject of the research is to study the characteristics of Experimentation in Models of Arabic Short Stories at the Level of Violating Generic Boundaries and Linking the Oral with the Written.
The research aims to clarify the meaning of experimentation, its connection to literary modernity, attempt to understand its distinctive characteristics in the short story, and reveal its aspects in the Arabic short story through two levels: violating generic boundaries and the interplay between the oral and the written worlds.
The research adopted a constructive methodology. The analysis reveals that the short story is an experimental genre, intertwined with various artistic forms and literary genres. It thrives on reduction and condensation, often blending contradictions and navigating ambiguous spaces where written and oral traditions converge. Rather than a break from tradition, its modernity lies in its continuous experimentation, challenging generic boundaries to innovate creatively. The short story emerges as a dynamic genre, constantly adapting and redefining itself for innovative expression.
