Abstract

The research problem revolves around determining the extent to which children and teenagers' clubs contribute to achieving social growth by assessing the extent to which training courses and various programs of activities contribute to the development of some life skills and the enhancement of competitive skills and to indicate the extent of differences between the research groups in the contributions of training programs. In addition to identifying members' suggestions on how to improve, develop and increase the effectiveness of these programs, activities, and courses offered by those institutions.
The research attempted to identify the extent to which the training courses contribute to the development of life skills, to determine the extent to which the programs of various activities contributed to honing some of the competitive skills, and to identify the extent of differences between the research groups in the contributions of training programs in developing life skills and trainees' attributes. The research sought to answer three questions: What is the extent to which the training courses contribute to the development of life skills? How effective are the programs of various activities in enhancement competitive skills? Are there differences between the research groups in the contributions of training programs? It was applied to a sample of 102 trainees of both sexes. The data were collected through a scale prepared by the researchers.
The results of the research showed that the training courses contributed significantly to the development of all the life skills dealt with in the research, and to arrange those skills in accordance with the development they have taken from decision-making, teamwork, and prioritization. Social and religious activities, make-up and decoration activities came in the first ranks activities in which females were willing to participate. As for males, sports activities and religious and social activities came in the first ranks. There were no differences between the three groups.
