A Reading in the Narratives of the Noble Prophetic Hadith: (A Semiotic Semantic Study)

Abstract

This research, entitled "A Reading in the Narratives of the Noble Prophetic Hadith: (A Semiotic Semantic Study)," offers models from the noble Hadith which are represented in the narrations of "News from Before Us: The Companions of the Cave, The Leper, The Man with the Shortened Limbs, and The Blind," "News from After Us: The Hadith of the Antichrist," and the Hadith of the Night Journey and Ascension."

Specifically enough,  it is part of a study by Al-Ajaibi on the noble Hadith, tracing the analysis of those texts and comparing them through the elucidation of the term "Ajaibi" and the intersecting terminologies with the concepts of the miraculous, the narrative forms of the miraculous, and the analysis of the elements of narrative structure, the narrative text, the narrative language, and the mechanisms of the miraculous inclination in the narrative, characteristics of the miraculous in these noble Hadiths.

To add, the research is dichotomous into an introduction and two chapters: the first chapter is titled "News from Before Us: The Before and the After," and the second chapter is titled "The Vision of Forecasting," followed by a conclusion.

The descriptive methodology is employed, relying on analysis to arrive at the most significant findings of the research, including: that the narrative plays a principal role in shaping the event and elevating it, presenting the main characters and the other characters in their roles with utmost precision.
