Conflict Management Strategies of Secondary School Principals and The Relation with Teachers Job Satisfaction in Hail Region According to Some Demographic Variables

Abstract

The research aims at exploring strategies of conflict administration and there relation with teachers job satisfaction and exploring the differences between the individuals of the sample that due to the post, qualification, and experience. The sample included 791 individuals who filled up a questionnaire on strategies of conflict administration. That questionnaire consisted of 24 paragraph on five fields. Another 15-paragraphs question- naire was about job satisfaction. Statistical ways of the mean, percentage, one-way Anova, and Pearson correlation were used in the data analysis. The results showed that the degree of using strategies of conflict administration was high, and that cooperation was the most used way and avoidance was less. The degree of job satisfaction was also high. The results also showed no statistical differences in using strategies of conflict administration in regard to the variables of the post, qualification, and experience. However, there was a positive correlation between those strategies and job satisfaction for teachers. The researcher recommends that more training courses should be held to increase the efficiency of principals in using strategies of conflict administration at schools.
