Abstract

The holy Quran containing knowledge, eloquence and coherence is a true revelation from Allah. Its meanings and references are so breathtaking. It is a miraculous. Some verses of the Quran are a perfect example of conciseness of speech because they convey many meanings in few words. This research revealed a glimpse of that aspect mentioned by Mohammad Altahir Bin Ashor (died 1393 AH) who was a famous scholar of modern explanation of Quran in his famous book Altahreer wa altanweer. This research traced thirteen of those verses from that book and compared his explanation to other scholars'. The title of this research: "Verses that Mohammad Altahir Bin Ashor considered as examples of conciseness of speech; tracing, studying and comparing." This research consisted of an introduction, four chapters a conclusion and two indexes. The first chapter: four introductions and requirements. The second chapter: five requirements. The third chapter: four requirements. The fourth chapter: four requirements. The researcher thought that this brief research including knowledge, comparison, results and recommendations would add to the field of Quranic studies.
