Rhythm In the Poetry of Al Khansa

Abstract

My research deals with rhythm in the poetry of Al Khansa as part of the poeticalness of her poetry. My research reveals the musicality of her poems. Infact. It is an attempt to answer the following question: Does Al Khansa's poetry have any distinctiveness as far as rhythm is concerned?. In this respect, my research studies recurrence, phonetic and verse partition symmetry, internal and external connotations, voiced and unvoiced sounds as well as fricatives among other features in the poetry of Al Khansa.
