Abstract

This study, tagged with the concept of atheism and its contemporary manifestations, aims to explain the concept of atheism in Arabic language and the Holy Quran, and in contemporary thought dictionaries, and shows the introduction of the atheistic phenomenon in human history, and its spread in the modern era in a large and striking way. The study highlights the statement of contemporary atheism and mentions its most prominent manifestations, with the most important pioneering philosophers of each species. The study shows the meaning of the new atheism, which is a phenomenon that has its own appeal, and that its new symbols appeared not only as scientists and intellectuals, but as influential stars in the media, it is a different phenomenon from other atheistic phenomena, as the research presented the most important features and characteristics of the owners of this new type of atheism. One of the most prominent results of the study: Atheism is a lack of faith in the existence of the Creator and its fullness, and the concept of the term atheism is a set of modem atheistic theories and trends, including the riba-based trend, the skeptical trend, the Marxist trend, the human trend, the pragmatic direction and the new atheism. One of the most important recommendations of the study the fact that academic research in Islamic studies departments should pay close attention to the study of contemporary reality and the intellectual uncertainties and uncertainties in it, as well as interest in heritage-related research, especially in the aspect of the study of atheistic ideas, which are often formulated with new stereotypes.
