Juristic Judgments of Prayer in Surah Al-Kawthar in Tafsir al-Qurtubi

Abstract

While Juristic judgments are based on evidences, the greatest of which is the Qur'an. It will be more appropriate to consider the books of interpretation (Tafsir) which deal with issues and the jurisprudence subject to dispute in order to highlight their position in the field of jurisprudence. The interpretation book authored by Shamm al-Din al-Qurtubi, also known as al-Jami li Ahkam al-Quran, has a high position in this area and has attracted the attention of both modern authors and researchers by adopting it as a rehable source of the science of interpretation and jurisprudence as well as its advantage in recitation, language and grammar and Several studies based on it. Thus, we wanted to follow this path and chose interpretation of Surah (Al-Asr) in this book in order to have a comprehensive study, and we selected the Juristic Judgments of Prayer due to its importance. We mentioned the issues that are subjects of controversy among jurists, and we studied them from the jurisprudential perspective in addition to paying attention to documentation and emphasizing the views of jurists.
