The Use of Artificial Intelligence Applications in the Educational Process: Its Requirements, and its Risks from the Perspective of Male and Female Postgraduate Students at Jazan University

The research aims to assess the extent of use of artificial intelligence applications in education, its requirements, and its risks from the point of view of male and female postgraduate students at Jazan University, and to know the differences in its use according to the college and gender. The tool used in the descriptive survey was a questionnaire consisting of 52 sub-phrases distributed across three axes: the use of artificial intelligence applications in education, the requirements for applying artificial intelligence in education, and the risks of using artificial intelligence in education. The sample consisted of 201 male and female students selected through systematic random sampling from the research community. The research findings revealed that the utilization of artificial intelligence applications in education was rated as “very high,” while the requirements for the use of artificial intelligence in education were rated as “high,” and the risks of using were also rated as “very high.” At the 0.05 significance level, no statistically significant difference in the utilization of artificial intelligence applications in education was found among postgraduate students at Jazan University based on the variables of gender and college. Based on these results, the researcher recommends keeping pace with modern developments and working to direct officials to provide the necessary capabilities to update resources periodically in accordance with developments and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, and to establish the necessary controls and legislation for robotics technology and legal accountability systems for using artificial intelligence techniques to include The efficiency of its use, and the safety of the rights of others.
