Abstract

This study article aims to analyze the occurrence of prophet killings in the Holy Qur'an and the Bible. This is a comparative doctrinal study that explores a subject that has not been previously examined. To conduct this study, I analyzed and interpreted several verses and texts. This paper seeks to elucidate the passages pertaining to the death of prophets in the Qur'an and the Bible, along with their respective manifestations. To reveal the causes behind the occurrence of prophet killings and to resolve the perceived contradiction between the signs of prophet killings and God's endorsement of them.

This paper used a comparative, critical, and analytical approach to examine the axes of the study. The findings highlight the accuracy of the Prophet's prophecy regarding the killing of prophets by the sons of Israel. Moreover, the research reveals that prophets were killed more frequently among the sons of Israel compared to other nations, which can be attributed to a confusion in understanding the concept of prophecy. Driven by their authority as kings and priests, they were determined to eliminate the prophets, pursuing their selfish ambitions. However, they failed to realize that God's support for his prophets and messengers would ultimately be attained in both this life and the afterlife, even if some of the prophets were martyred.
