Keywords:
Infallibility, Prophets, Disbelief in AllahAbstract
The study addresses the infallibility of the prophets (peace be upon them) against disbelief in Allah before their missions based on the Quranic evidence. The research aims to study the views regarding the infallibility of the prophets before their missions in light of the Sharia evidences in this regard, and examine the opinions of different sects on this issue. In his study, the researcher adopts the analytical approach by presenting the Quranic texts related to this issue and studying them thoroughly in the light of the understanding of commentators of the Quran and narration verifiers. The research consists of three sections: The first section includes the Quranic verses that indicate the state of some prophets before their mission. The second section presents the opinions of different sects regarding the infallibility of the prophets against disbelief in Allah before their missions. The third section discusses the state of our prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) before his mission. The key findings include:
- The issue of infallibility of the prophets (peace be upon them) against disbelief in Allah before their missions is not a consensual issue, people and even the followers of the Sunni sect have different opinions on this matter.
- The Quranic verses clearly indicate that some Prophets followed the religion of their people before their mission. This does not contradict their infallibility after their missions, and it does not diminish their status.
