The Reality of Electronic Government and Improving Job Performance: a case study of the General Court in Jubail

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the reality of electronic government requirements and their role in improving the job performance of employees in the General Court in Jubail, and to reveal the challenges facing their implementation.

Methodology: The study relied on case study approach, and the study was conducted on a sample of (90 individuals) employees of the General Court in Jubail in the Eastern Province in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the year 2022 AD.

Conclusion: The study concluded with several results, including: high degree of awareness of electronic government requirements in the research community; their proven role in improving the job performance of employees; and the outcomes proved that there is a statistically significant impact at a moral level of (0.01) on the degree of awareness of electronic government requirements (the independent variable) on job performance (the dependent variable). The study recommended establishing a public training institution to qualify employees in various sectors of the country for transformation towards electronic government.
