Abstract

This is a brief study of what Ibn Atiyya made in his interpretation (The Brief Editor in the Interpretation of the Mighty Book) on al-Zajjaj in his book (The Meanings of the Qur’an and Its Parsing), in the interpretation of Surat al-Baqarah and Al Imran (Al-Zahraween), and it aims to collect Ibn Atiyya’s corrections on al-Zajjaj in Surat al-Baqarah and Al Imran. And highlighting Ibn Attiya’s approach to these corrections, and identifying the most correct opinions on the issue after presentation and discussion.

The study reached several results, the most important of which is: Imam Ibn Attiya is one of the imams of interpretation who is interested in balancing and choosing between statements in language and interpretation, and cares about correction. It showed Ibn Attia’s moderation in his position on glass in his comments on it, without fanaticism or bias. The study demonstrated the multiplicity of the purposes of corrections according to Ibn Atiyya on glass, between replying and correcting, adding and completing, and indicating what is (first), he does not have a single method in his corrections.
