The aim of this article is to explore the dimensional knowledge that exists between the act of interpretation and the principle of use, bearing in mind the conceptual, functional and indexical aspects. This type of concordance singled out the old Arab thought and conceptualization in terms of both knowledge and methodology so far as the concept of use and its relation to interpretation is concerned. Referring back to the Arab tradition in referential knowledge, philosophy and belief of the interpretative framework, we tried to match up/concord in terms of knowledge and methodology between Averroes and Al Ghazali and the way with which they deal twitch the act of interpretation and the contextual rules fine- tuningit when it comes to its relation with the text in general and the Quranic text in particular. This investigation enabled us to confirm that Averroes bestowed the act of interpretation with a procedural and legal knowledge, totally distinct from that of Al Ghazali's The Rule of Interpretation. The attempt to match up between these two contrasting approaches is but a way of raising our awareness to the factthat the nature of interpretation that characterizes the Quaranic text is equivalently unique and distinct both in terms of content and form. Thus, the following topics are ourcurrentconcern: - The notion of use. -The methodological and knowledge able referential of interpretation. The relation between the interpretative and receptive acts. - The distinctive nature of Averroes' interpretative act from that of AlGhazali.
