Applying Task - Technology Fit Model (TTF) to Improve The Performance of Employees in An Environment of Information Systems: A Case Study of Civil Affairs in Saudi Arabia

This study aims to apply the (Task-Technology Fit) (TTF) model to improve the performance of employees in an environment of information systems. The study was applied on a random sample of Information system of Civil Affairs users in five major provinces; a Riyadh, Jeddah, Tabuk, Najran, and Dammam, this sample consist of (478) persons, The questionnaire was built to collect data about model variables. A Descriptive Statistics, and Pearson correlation were used to analyzing data and testing the hypotheses of the study. The study found a number of conclusions, the most important are:
- There is a medium level of the fit between Information system technology available and the tasks performed by the employees in Civil Affairs in Saudi Arabia.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the information system characteristics and (Task- information system Technology Fit).
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the routine tasks characteristics and (Task- information system Technology Fit).
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the (Task - information system Technology Fit) and the performance of employees.
The study suggested a number of recommendations to improve the performance of the employees in the department of civil affairs in KSA, in addition to further studies to test the validity of the model in other information system.
