Allah's Avowed Conclusive Word Regarding Reviling .'Polytheists' Worshipped Objects
Abstract
One characteristic feature of the Islamic doctrine in calling people to Allah is prohibition against imprecating polytheists' worshipped objects for the nullifier and unsound results, depending on which Islamic jurisprudents have come up with a principle that reads as: "If an obedience brings about a nullifier, it is no longer an obedience; rather it must be prohibited the same way a disobedience is prohibited. The basis for this question is the Quranic verse that reads: 'Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they out of spite revile Allah in their ignorance. Thus have We made alluring to each people its own doings. In the end will they return to their Lord, and We shall then tell them the truth of all that they did." (6: 108( This rule is based upon two basic issues, i.e. (1) The necessity to apply the Rule of 'Blocking pretexts as its conditions are available, and (2) The illegality of reviling and imprecating in general. The reason behind prohibiting reviling their idols is that this draws no religious interest, because the purpose of the Call to Allah is to nullify and revoke polytheism, and vividly show the impossibility for idols to be Allah's partners. This is what distinguishes Right from Fakehood. Since reviling and imprecating is available for the two sides, i.e. Truth and Untruth Followers, then this features both as equal. Many such legislative rules depend on this decision as follows: Legality of enforcing the Principle of 'Blocking Pretexts', and the necessity of quirting an obedience if it is going to bring about a disobedience. Calling to Allah properly, and turning away from the ignorant A Truth follower may relinquish his right if this has led to a crack running in the religion strong wall.
