Abstract

The current study investigated the mathematical and pedagogical knowledge of (12) female primary stage teachers in Al- Madinah. It also revealed the relationship between their recognition of mathematical and pedagogical knowledge. Data was collected from two tests. The first measured the required mathematical knowledge for teaching Fractions to upper primary classes. The second measured the pedagogical knowledge of the mathematical content. After making sure of the psychometric characteristics. The results indicated a low level of recognition of primary upper classes teachers in the mathematical and pedagogical knowledge. The sample has not achieved the mastery level of (80%) in both tests. The results also found a low positive correlation between their scores in both tests.
