Training Needs of Saudi School Principals to Fulfill the Requirements of E-Management Application

Abstract

The study aimed at determining Saudi public school principals training needs priorities to fulfill the requirements of e-management application. It also aimed at identifying the significant differences according to a set of variables including qualification, level of education, administrative experience, and number of training courses in the field of computer technology. The study utilized descriptive research approach (documentary and screening), and questionnaire was adopted as a data collection instrument. The study found that the level of training needs to fulfill the requirements of e- management application was high, and that there are statistically significant differences in all dimensions of the study between the school principals responses related to the level of academic qualification. It was also found that there is no statistically significant differences related to educational stage, however statistically significant differences were found in relation to the ability to save and retrieve data for those who attended from (3 - 5) training programs against those who did not. Statistically significant differences were found between the members of the study in relation to information security and data confidentiality in favor of those who obtained more than five training programs against those with less than three. The study was also found that there are no statistically significant differences between school administrators about their training needs to fulfill the requirements of the e-management relating to years of experience.
