Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the level of leisure boredom, sensation seeking, recreational sports needs among delinquent adolescents compared to non- delinquent adolescents. In addition, to examine the relationship between leisure boredom, sensation seeking and behavioral offences. The study carried out on 280 students (96 delinquent adolescents) and (184 non- delinquent adolescents) were recruited from grade 2, secondary schools (males) in Turaif city. According to the results, high levels of leisure boredom, sensation seeking were observed among adolescents. The results also showed that recreational sports needs of adolescents were: adolescents held high desire to participate in high-risk Sports, team Sports, individual Sports, respectively. A positive relationships were found between leisure boredom, sensation seeking and behavioral offences. It was found that there were statistically significant differences in the leisure boredom, sensation seeking, the desire to participate in high-risk Sports, the difference was in favor of delinquent adolescents. While no statistically significant differences in the desire to participate in team Sports, individual Sports. The researcher ended his study with numerous suggestions and recommendations
