Abstract

This research discusses the evolution theory, a materialistic theory hypothesizing that a few species evolved automatically across time. Observing the embryological and anatomical similarities between animals and humans some scholars believed in this theory. However, Sheikh al-Gesr sees it as a hypothesis lacking in evidence. Islamic thinkers do believe that this evolution theory might be a fact, which was originally created by God; while materialistic scholars ask their God to concretize whatever is abstract, which is a sort of challenge to Allah and his glorious traits. Those who seek evidence and avoid illusions are the knowledgeable persons.
