The Requirements for Developing the Pre-Tertiary Education System in Schools from the Perspective of Administrative Leaders in Jizan Region

Abstract

This study aims to explore the requirements for developing the pre-tertiary system from the perspective of administrative leaders in Jizan region and also to explore any statistically significant difference in these requirements according to variables including qualification, years of experience, and training courses. Sixty administrative leaders from Jizan region participated in the study. The following results were found: high score for the requirements of development in relation to teachers (M-2.78) high score for the requirements of development in relation to school administration (M-2.74) high score for the requirements of development in relation to the teaching methodologies (M-2.71) high score for the requirements of development in relation to school curricula (M-2.62) No statistically significant difference in responses based on the variables (qualification, years of experience, training courses) It is recommended that there is a necessity to revise the current educational policies, to study successful educational policies around the world and try to adapt them into pre- tertiary schools in Saudi Arabia, and to conduct further research in other regions of Saudi Arabia
