Abstract

This Paper aims to shed light on the Reflections of Bilingualism on the situation of Arabic Education in Nigeria as one of the major Factors behind the Inactivity of this type of Education in Nigeria. The Study is going to be carried out through three subtitles: (the Concept of Bilingualism, teaching of Arabic Language in Nigerian Schools and the Issue of Bilingualism, Teaching of Arabic Language in Nigerian Universities and the Issue of Bilingualism), after a Preamble in which the Writer will briefly introduce the History of Arabic Language in Nigeria, and the Importance of Sociolinguistics in the context of teaching any Foreign Language.
