Abstract

Among the terms used by Ibn Hazm in his judgment on the Sindh is” its attribution is like the sun”. He was one of the pioneers and most popular scholars to use this term to refer that all the narrators in this sindh are trustworthy and proven Imams. It turned out that he used it in thirteen Hadiths: eleven of them were documented in the Two Sahihs. The study agreed with his judgment that all their attributions are like the sun. And two Hadiths were not documented in the Two Sahihs. The study agreed with him in one Hadith that “its attribution is like the sun”, and disagreed with him in the second Hadith because of the disagreement on one of its narrators. Also, Ibn Hazm used this term in seven of the prophetic sayings. The study agreed with him in three of them that they are like the sun. The study disagreed with him in four due to the disagreement on some of their narrators.
