A Suggested Proposal for Developing the Course of Orientation, Mobility, and Daily Life Skills in Light of Some Standards for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairment

The study aimed to build a list of orientation and mobility standards which should be available in preparation program for teachers of students with visual impairments, and to identify the availability of these standards in the course of orientation and mobility and daily life skills included in the preparation program for teachers of students with visual impairments at the college of education in King Khalid University, and to present a suggested proposed to develop the course of orientation and mobility and daily life skills in light some standards of visual impairment teacher. The researcher used descriptive approach in this study. The final list of orientation and mobility standards consisted of (9) standards and (40) indicators. The results indicated that the degree of availability of these standards in the course of orientation and mobility was moderate at a rate of (47.44%), so a suggested Proposal for developing the course was prepared which included (standards, indicators, objectives, learning outcomes, learning resources, teaching methods, scientific content, educational activities, and evaluation methods).
