Abstract

This research starts from presenting poetry as one of the most important terms that has received the attention of critics in contemporary critical speech, as it is concerned with the naturalization rules and features that distinguish a literary text from other texts, and in it the aesthetic and communicative function is revealed through semantic intersections, interconnectedness and interdependence between internal structures. In a manner that achieves the privacy of the creator and the literary uniqueness of the text, which was applied to the text (Message to an Unknown City) by the Egyptian poet, Ahmed Abdel-Moati Hegazy, as the poetry of the text was established according to a number of laws: heading, symbolism, poetic narration, then rhythm, Its extrapolation was the most important goal of the study, and the research concluded that these poetic components contributed to the formation of the intellectual aspect that overflows the imagination of the creator, and provided the text with an amount of beauty and uniqueness, an idea and a style.
