Attachment Styles and Relationship Of Ego Strengths Psychosocial Development In a Sample From Both Sexes From Adolescence To Adulthood

This study aims to investigate the nature of the relationship between Attachment Styles and the development of Ego Strengths (emotional), a sample of (196) from both sexes between the ages of (18-45) years. To achieve these aims the researcher applied the descriptive design including the correlation and causal comparative designs. The data was collected through applying analysis of the data using the appropriate statistical methods for each assumption proved the following: There are significant positive correlations between Attachment Styles, secure attachment and Ego Strengths, different ego virtues, as well as a correlation is negative significant (0.01) between fearful attachment, preoccupied and dismissing. And score of the ego Strengths. There is no significant differences between subjects in the mean-score of Attachment Styles as well as the total score according to the demographic variables (gender, age). There are significant differences between subjects in the mean-score of the total score according to the demographic variables (gender, age). The regression analysis proved that Ego Strengths can be predicted by emotional attachment.
