The Effectiveness of Employing Socio-Scientific Issues in Teaching Physics for Developing the Cognitive and Emotional Domains of Scientific Sense among Secondary School Female Students

The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of employing the socio-scientific issues in teaching physics for developing the cognitive and emotional domains and their dimensions for the secondary school female students in Al-Jouf Region. The study adopted the semi-experimental approach which is based on having an experimental and a control group. The sample comprised (61) female students subdivided into (30) female students as an experimental group, and (31) female students as a control group. The study used the cognitive domain test for the scientific sense, and the scale of emotional domain for the scientific sense. The results showed the effectiveness of employing the socio-scientific issues in developing the cognitive and emotional domains and their dimension on the scientific sense for the secondary school female students.
