The Degree of the Teachers of Islamic Education Performance of Teaching Skills at the Basic Stage - the Second Circle - in the Sultanate of Oman

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree of the teachers of Islamic education performance of teaching skills at the basic stage the second circle in the Al Batinah Region of the Sultanate of Oman. The sample of the study consisted of (144) male and female teachers drawn from (284) teachers by using simple random sampling technique. The researchers used a questionnaire to collect the data and the descriptive analytical approach for the analysis of the data. The findings of the study revealed that the highest domain was the class management followed by the domains of class activities and interaction, lesson planning, cooperative leaming and evaluation, respectively. Also, the findings of the study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of the teachers performance of the teaching skills due to their gender or teaching experience. In light of these findings, the researchers recommended that further similar studies to be conducted at the basic stage of the first circle (14). They also recommended that teachers must be provided with some major teaching skills.
